The trail takes us through lush mountain birch forest and rippling streams to the Rallar Cemetery, where many of those who toiled during the construction of the Malmbanan rest, and the guide tells us what life along the rails was like at the turn of the last century. From the cemetery we then make our way up the mountain where the weather will hopefully allow us to take a much-needed break, and maybe even a dip in Kratersj\u00f6n, before continuing with a lovely hike back to Bj\u00f6rkliden!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Available: <\/b>Thursdays and Saturdays, July 2-October 3, 2026<\/p>\n<p><b>Time spent:&nbsp;<\/b>About four hours, 08:30-12:30<\/p>\n<p><b>Distance and height:<\/b> About 9 km, +150 meters of altitude<\/p>\n<p><b>Meeting place:<\/b> Outside the Sports Shop in Bj\u00f6rkliden<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><b>Number of participants:<\/b> 2-12 people. If there are less than two registered participants, we reserve the right to cancel the tour<\/p>\n<p><b>Price: <\/b>725 kr per person<\/p>\n<p><b>Included:<\/b>&nbsp;Guide<\/p>\n<p><b>Packing list: <\/b>Light packed lunch or snacks, water bottle, hot drink, sturdy boots (preferably with a shaft that goes over the ankle), rain jacket, rain pants, a warm jacket or extra thick sweater, hat, gloves, buff or scarf and sunglasses.<\/p>\n<p>____________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<h3>Historic hike across the open mountain landscape and the Navvy Trail<\/h3>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>This hike begins along the well prepared trail Rallarleden (the Navvy Trail), which served as a supply route during the construction of the railroad over 100 years ago. The trail takes us through lush mountain birch forests and past babbling streams to Rallarkyrkog\u00e5rden (the Navvy graveyard), where many of those who endured the hard work of building the railway now rest.
