In and around Abisko there are a lot of different icefalls for beginners as well as experienced ice climbers. The many icefalls and the beautiful surroundings with the Abisko Mountains and the veiw over lake Tornetr\u00e4sk is some of the reasons why ice climbing in Abisko is so spectacular.<\/p>\n<p>The tour starts with a short drive to the icefall where your guide will provide you with ice climbing equipment and take you through the first basic steps of climbing vertical ice and instructions on how to handle ice climbing crampons and ice axes.<\/p>\n<p>Make sure you dress warm and you will get one of the best arctic experiences in your life!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h5>TOUR DETAILS<\/h5>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The morning tour starts at 9.30 and the afternoon tour starts at 14.00. The duration is approximately 3 hours. In the afternoon we use spotlights and head torches to illuminate the Ice wall.<\/li>\n<li>The tour includes transfers from\/to your accommodation in Abisko or Bj\u00f6rkliden and equipment for ice climbing; alpine boots (Sizes 36-48, EU), crampons, harness, and helmet<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h3>LAST-MINUTE RESERVATIONS<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This activity can be booked online until 2h before start.<\/li>\n<li>If you wish to join this tour on another time\/date than those scheduled, please se the option for a Private guided tour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h3>HOW TO DRESS FOR AN ICE CLIMBING TOUR<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mittens \/ gloves<\/li>\n<li>Hat (avoid hats whit tassels etc. on them when it's mandatory to use a helmet during this activity)<\/li>\n<li>Warm pants &amp; jacket or an overall.
