Northern Lights Lavvu Experience
We travel by snowshoes to our lavvu, a hut situated 1,5 km from the hotel. It’s up there, without interfering artificial light, the Northern Lights can be seen at their finest. By a warming fire inside the lavvu the guide will tell your more about the magic of Northern Lights and the Björkliden area.

Price: 795 SEK per adult, 395 SEK per child.

This is an overnight stay of a slightly different kind, up in the mountains above Björkliden, a short walk from the hotel. With beautiful views of the vast landscape, are three small huts, traditionally used as portable ice fishing huts. They have been converted into cosy rooms for overnight stays with great opportunities for Aurora watching, away from distracting artificial lights.
Your Aurora guide will take you to the Aurora Village by snowmobile. On site at the hut the guide will instruct and teach you how to behave to get the most from your overnight. Here awaits an evening outdoors on reindeer skins by the warm fire, hoping to catch a glimpse of the beautiful Aurora Borealis, before cuddling up in a cosy sleeping bag in one of the huts. Breakfast will be delivered to Aurora Village before a snowmobile transfer will bring you back to Hotell Fjället.
