Day trip by tracked vehicle to Låktatjåkko Mountain Station

We travel up to the station by tracked wagon, alternatively in sleds behind snowmobiles. We travel through magnificent mountain environment with fantastic views. On the way to the station, if the weather permits, you stop and get out of the bandwagon to enjoy the view and take some pictures. Once at the mountain station, you can buy a coffee or just enjoy the fresh mountain air. If you want to take nice photos to remember your day, this is a good opportunity. The activity gives you an insight into what it looks like in our mountain world and is suitable for all ages. No physical skills are required. When the break is over, the tour will go back down to Björkliden.

The bandwagon starts from Hotell Fjället at 10:00, and is expected to be at Låktatjåkko Fjällstation at about 11:00. Then the tour goes down to Björkliden again at 12:30.

Please have your reservation ready to show the driver when boarding the bandwagon, your reservation is your ticket.

Staying overnight at Låkta Mountain Station?

If you have booked accommodation at Låkta and do not want to go up on your own via skis, snowshoes or snowmobile, we can recommend the bandwagon. When you make the booking, just make sure that your descent is on the right following day so that a place is booked for you down on the correct day.

If the bandwagon becomes full, it is possible to book an interpreter via the booking department at   bokning@laplandresorts.se  or 0980 - 641 00. You then interpret behind the belt carriage ”sitting” on a button similar to those in button lifts.

When interpreting after the bandwagon, the following applies: minimum age 12 years and everyone must wear a helmet. Helmets are available for rent in the Sports Shop.

Recommended equipment for interpretation is alpine gear. Dress warmly as it can get very cold on the way up. (Imagine standing in a lift in the snow for about 60 minutes. Weather conditions can change up on the bare mountain).

If there are 4 or fewer people booked on the tour, it is run with snowmobile and toboggan. Helmet and snowmobile overalls are then available to borrow.

Dogs are not allowed in the bandwagon.

Sledges/snowshoes, mountain boots and larger luggage are taken along subject to availability.

An unforgettable nature adventure!

About Activities

Good to know

Each activity has a level of difficulty described below. We always adapt the pace to the group to ensure everyone has a great experience.

Relaxing: this is not exhausting at all, on the contrary!

Slow pace: Can be compared to a light walk. As a participant, you can often adapt the effort to your own level.

Moderate: This level of exertion requires a little more from you as a participant. At this level, it is more often a matter of endurance rather than great physical effort, but we recommend a normal level of fitness.

Demanding: This level often requires both willpower and higher physical fitness. We recommend that you talk to our knowledgeable staff in the sports shop if you are unsure.

Quite a challenge: This level requires a lot from you as a participant. You should be both strong and confident behind the brow bone - at this level we will always ensure your suitability before completing the activity.

Depending on the activity, breaks may or may not be included, but we can always make sure to take a break if you need to.

Once booked, the activity will be entered into our system and you will receive a confirmation of your booking. The booking confirmation will give you more information.

On our guided activities we have no specific cancellation protection, but all activities canceled at least 24 hours in advance will give a full refund unless otherwise stated that the payment is binding on, for example, specific courses.
