Which class is suitable for me?

BAMM 30

Some mountain experience, simple orienteering in untracked terrain, along or adjacent to trails or handrails in nature and usually with the capture of terrain objects at the controls. Although this is the ”short distance”, you should be prepared for many meters of altitude and a real challenge. Often it means about 20-25km/day running and about 1500 meters of altitude. If you can manage to hike about 15 - 25 kilometers per day for 10 hours, this is the class for you. Good class for those who want to try this type of competition for the first time. We transport tents and sleeping bags to the common night camp.

BAMM 50

Good mountain/nature experience. Places higher demands on your ability to orienteer mostly without a trail / path with ”large objects” (mountain peaks, lakes) as handrails. This is the class for those who have good fitness and want a tough challenge. Participants carry all their own equipment. Participants in this class are often out on the trail for 4-7 hours/day and often run 30-35km/day. See previous height profiles if you want to prepare a little extra.

BAMM 70

Places great demands on fitness, mountain experience and orienteering skills. We recommend that you have completed BAMM 50 or competed in other similar competitions before taking on BAMM 70. This is the class for those who want a very tough challenge. Participants carry all their own equipment. Participants in this class are often out on the course for 7 -10 hours/day.

Day 2 also includes exercise classes. Exercise classes are there to make it possible for as many people as possible to participate on day 2 even if the team for some reason does not complete day 1. The choice of distance is made in consultation with the race director, but you can choose between the distances 30 km or 50 km.

*The course length is as the crow flies. Distances are divided into men, women and mixed classes.
