Norrskensupplevelse på snöskor
Föreställ dig ett färgsprakande skådespel som dansar över himlen – norrskenet, eller aurora borealis. Det är kanske ett av naturens mest fascinerande fenomen och här, norr om polcirkeln, har du chansen att uppleva det på riktigt. Under en klar kväll är det en syn du sent kommer glömma.
Följ med oss på en stämningsfull kvällstur med snöskor till vår lavvu – kåtan som ligger 1,5 km från Hotell Fjället i Björkliden. Långt bort från störande ljus och ljud väntar fjällets stillhet vid en av de platser i världen där chanserna är som bäst för att få syn på det mytomspunna norrskenet.
Inne i lavvun värmer vi oss vid elden medan vår guide delar med sig av historier och kunskap om norrskenet – och om den unika naturen runt Björkliden.

Time spent: Tre timmar, 19:00-22:00

Northern Light Snowshoe Experience
Imagine a colorful dance across the sky – the northern lights, or aurora borealis. Perhaps one of nature’s most fascinating phenomena, and here, North of the Arctic Circle, you have the chance to experience it for real. On a clear evening, it’s a sight you won’t soon forget.
Join us for an atmospheric evening snowshoe tour to our lavvu located 1.5 km from Hotell Fjället in Björkliden. Far away from light and noise, the silence of the mountains awaits, at one of the best places in the world to catch a glimpse of the mythical northern lights.
Inside the lavvu, we warm ourselves by the fire while our guide shares stories and insights about the aurora and the unique nature surrounding Björkliden.
Availability: Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays, 16 November 2025-7 March 2026
Duration: Three hours, 19:00-22:00
Meeting point: The front desk at Hotell Fjället in Björkliden
Participants: 3-12 people. At least three people must participate for this activity to take place
Price: 895 SEK per adult, 495 SEK per child (7-15 years)

About Activities
Good to know
Each activity has a level of difficulty described below. We always adapt the pace to the group to ensure everyone has a great experience.
Relaxing: this is not exhausting at all, on the contrary!
Slow pace: Can be compared to a light walk. As a participant, you can often adapt the effort to your own level.
Moderate: This level of exertion requires a little more from you as a participant. At this level, it is more often a matter of endurance rather than great physical effort, but we recommend a normal level of fitness.
Demanding: This level often requires both willpower and higher physical fitness. We recommend that you talk to our knowledgeable staff in the sports shop if you are unsure.
Quite a challenge: This level requires a lot from you as a participant. You should be both strong and confident behind the brow bone - at this level we will always ensure your suitability before completing the activity.
Depending on the activity, breaks may or may not be included, but we can always make sure to take a break if you need to.
Once booked, the activity will be entered into our system and you will receive a confirmation of your booking. The booking confirmation will give you more information.
On our guided activities we have no specific cancellation protection, but all activities canceled at least 24 hours in advance will give a full refund unless otherwise stated that the payment is binding on, for example, specific courses.
