The competition

Choose from classes 30, 50 and 70 with orienteering over two days with an overnight stay in the mountains.

Participants competing in classes 50 and 70 carry all their own equipment to cope with two tough days and one night in the mountains. The exception is BAMM 30, where the organizer transports tents and sleeping bags to the overnight camp. Participants in BAMM 30 will therefore have a slightly lighter backpack to run with.

On Friday morning before the start, teams receive maps and courses (30, 50 and 70) and can start planning their route choices. Then there is a joint start for everyone. After the checkpoints are taken, the teams arrive at the night camp where everyone stays in a large tent camp.

Day 2 starts with a chase start for the best teams, the leading team starts first and then the following teams start according to the results of day 1. Teams more than one hour behind start together before the chase start. The finish is in Riksgränsen where showers, sauna and mingle await. In the evening, prize giving and dinner await.

Transportation

Travel to BAMM

If you choose to fly or otherwise travel to Kiruna, you can book our transfer and save your energy. We will pick you up from Kiruna airport and drive you directly to Hotel Riksgränsen. On Thursday we match SAS departure and on Sunday we match both Norwegian and SAS departures.

Book a transfer from Hotel Riksgränsen to Kiruna Airport

Get on the train in the evening in Stockholm or Gothenburg and wake up in a fantastic mountain environment the next day. You'll arrive in Riksgränsen at lunchtime. SJ operates the route and the journey between Stockholm and Riksgränsen takes around 18 hours. The train station in Riksgränsen is only 100 meters from Hotel Riksgränsen.

Take the E4 north, turn left in Töre and then continue on the E10 towards Kiruna and Narvik. You will find us just before the Norwegian border.
