Experiences Beyond the Ordinary

Getting to Björkliden isn't always easy, so we want to make it easier for you during your stay!

During certain selected periods, we offer promotions and packages combining experiences and accommodations. We’ve gathered these here so you can easily plan your stay with us based on the season you’re interested in.

July 10 – July 26

Deluxe Mountain Cabin – Summer Special: 25% discount

Stay in a renovated and cozy cabin with a view of Torneträsk and Lapporten. During the summer, Björkliden offers an endlessly blooming landscape of mountain flora.

And if the hike you set out on happened to take you through most of the seasons in a single day, there’s a drying cabinet, a sauna, and a warm bed to crawl into afterward.

The cabins are self-catering and include a stove and microwave, among other amenities. You can pre-order bed linens to make your bed yourself upon arrival, or bring your own.

October–November

Half-Board at Hotel Fjället – Chance to See the Northern Lights

Imagine checking into a freshly made-up hotel room where, through the curtains, you can see the sun setting behind the mountain peaks. You go for a walk in the surrounding area and get to see waterfalls, Čuonjávággi, and majestic mountains as far as the eye can see.

As evening falls, you’ll enjoy dinner with a view of Lake Torneträsk, which on a starry night sparkles like a mirror on the water’s surface. The food has clear roots in Lapland cuisine and is prepared with the chefs’ love for the wilderness and the surroundings in which we operate.

Once dinner is over and your drink has dwindled to just a few drops in your glass, head outside and cut across the slope by the hotel toward Rakkaskåtan. There, you might be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights dancing across the sky while your breath turns into thick fog in the darkness of the night.

This package includes

  • Accommodation in a hotel room.
  • Breakfast.
  • Two-course dinner (main course + appetizer or dessert).

Half-board is valid for every day of your stay, from check-in to check-out.

Oct. 1 – Nov. 21

Mountain Cabins – Fall Special: 50% Discount

When you step inside the cabin, it smells of wood and the wilderness. The walls are paneled, and the cabin exudes both adventure and tranquility at the same time. You set up your sleeping arrangements and make the beds with the sheets the kids picked out all by themselves before you left home.

You go for a walk through the winding cottage village where the leaves have turned yellow, and Abisko National Park is an autumnal explosion of yellow, red, and brown. Maybe you’ll challenge each other to a round of mini-golf up by the hotel before your fingers get too cold, and then you’ll head back to warm up in the sauna at your cabin.

When it’s time for dinner, the whole family pitches in to prepare for a classic taco night—using the ingredients you picked up along the way. As evening approaches, you’ll receive a notification in your Northern Lights app that the Northern Lights may be visible in the sky in an hour if the weather is clear — so you bundle up and head up to the golf course high in the mountains, hoping to see the Northern Lights dance across the sky.
