Whether you’re longing for a peaceful, quiet mountain Christmas or want to ring in the New Year with extra flair, we at Björkliden have created unique moments for you to cherish for a lifetime. Here you’ll find atmospheric accommodations, the aroma of local delicacies, and the chance to see the Northern Lights dance right above you.

Hotel Room Christmas Buffet Breakfast

Enjoy the shimmering blue light of the polar night, sit by the fire, and savor the serene tranquility of the mountains—a perfect experience for couples, friends, or families. Stay in comfort at Hotel Fjället with magnificent views of the mountains. A Christmas buffet is included on Saturday during your stay when you book at least two nights. A large and delicious breakfast buffet is included every morning throughout your stay.

Christmas buffet with new flavors & live music

When the polar night envelops Björkliden in its shimmering blue winter light, the lights inside are lit, and we set the table for Christmas’s most delightful moments. This year, our new chefs have taken over the kitchen and put their very own spin on the classic Christmas buffet—with fresh flavors, local ingredients, and small, wonderful surprises. Enjoy a harmonious meal in a warm setting, and be sure to take a look out the window; hopefully, the northern lights will appear over Torneträsk.

After dinner, we'll liven things up in Pub Rallaren! Live music, laughter, and wonderful camaraderie await you here. Sing along, dance, or just sit back and relax—it’s going to be a real party in true mountain country.

Book your Christmas buffet: Select the desired date (Nov. 28, Dec. 5 or Dec. 12) in the reservation calendar, and then select one of the two seating times for the evening. If your party consists of 8 people or more, please email us lapporten@laplandresorts.se with a booking request.

What would Christmas Eve be without the anticipation and the children's eyes full of wonder?

Meeting with Santa (1:00 p.m.): Santa makes a magical stop at the hotel to meet all the excited children. Of course, there will be a Christmas gift giveaway for everyone who has been good this year!

Christmas Eve Dinner at Lapporten Restaurant: Let us treat you to a festive Christmas Eve. Choose between our elegant Christmas platter—four flavorful servings featuring the absolute favorites from the Christmas buffet—or handpicked dishes from our new, inspiring à la carte menu.

New Year's Eve – dinner followed by a countdown to the New Year

Ring in the New Year with style, warmth, and magnificent nature!

We're kicking off the evening with a social gathering in the lobby where we'll raise our glasses together to set the right festive mood. After that, you'll sit down to a fantastic Three-course menu with an appetizing amuse-bouche, created to give your taste buds a memorable way to end the year.

As midnight approaches, the lanterns outside are lit. Those who wish to gather can take a walk up the mountainside and gaze out over the crisp night. We’re hoping for a starry sky so we might have the chance to see the northern lights dance in the New Year with us. When the clock strikes midnight, we’ll ring the bell at Schaffer’s Pond and wish each other a very happy New Year!
