Winter & Polar Night

As the sun rests below the horizon, the mountain is enveloped in a mysterious, blue- and pink-split twilight. It is a time of lighted candles, silence and an almost unreal stillness where the snow sparkles under the stars.

Spring winter - the fifth season

The time that we mountain dwellers love the most. The days are long, the sun is warm on your face and you can enjoy skiing in your shirt sleeves in the morning and a coffee in a snow sofa in the afternoon.

When the cold bites into your cheeks, a three-course dinner in Rakkaskåtan in front of the open fire tastes best. For those who need a lunch break on the slopes, we have our loyal octagon Snöbaren, which serves both food and drinks for young and old.

Whatever your needs, one thing is certain - gastronomy and conviviality meet here in an environment where every meal is a celebration of the day gone by.

Pub & Afterski

Music, fellowship and friendly battles in Pub Rallaren.

The evening doesn't have to end when the lift stops. From atmospheric après-ski in Pub Rallaren to quiz nights on Wednesdays - Pub Rallaren is the answer. In addition to set events, the pool table and dartboard are waiting to be challenged by you and your friends in a 501 tournament or a classic round of 8-ball.

The medical clinic during the winter season

During the winter season, we have doctors on site in Björkliden. The clinic is open to everyone for a regular patient fee and can in many cases be an alternative to longer trips for medical assessment and emergency cases. On red days, the doctor's office is staffed as Saturdays and Sundays. This means April 3-6, May 1 and May 14.

Travel to Björkliden & Riksgränsen

By train

Get on the train in the evening in Stockholm or Gothenburg and wake up in a fantastic mountain environment the next day. You will arrive in Riksgränsen at lunchtime. SJ operates the route and the journey between Stockholm and Riksgränsen takes around 18 hours. You can also take the Arctic Train from Narvik, Norway's northernmost train route, through breathtaking Arctic landscapes with panoramic views of mountains and fjords. The train station in Riksgränsen is located right in the heart of the village, only about 150 meters from the Meteorologist.

Via car

Take the E4 north, turn left in Töre and then continue on the E10 towards Kiruna and Narvik. You will find us just before the Norwegian border.

By air

There are daily flights from Stockholm and Copenhagen to Kiruna Airport, followed by a 90-minute transfer. Alternatively, you can fly to Evenes Airport and drive for 75 minutes. Arriving at Riksgränsen via the E10 is equally beautiful from both directions.
