BAMM - a two-day competition in the mountains

The competition is organized in Riksgränsen, where teams of two navigate through pristine Arctic wilderness. With map and compass, you'll make your way across mountains, valleys and glacial landscapes and take control - where strategy, perseverance and teamwork are key. It's more than a race - it's a raw and unforgettable experience!

Summer & Midnight Sun

When the night never comes and the sun never sets and the sky burns at night. Experience the freedom of walking on golden peaks in the middle of the night and feel the energy of a landscape that never sleeps.

Autumn - colorful landscapes

An explosion of red, orange and gold. The air is high and clear, the ground smells of moss and berries, and the hiking is at its most intense and beautiful.

Northern lights - when the night sky dances

From the first dark night of fall to the arrival of spring, we have a front row seat to the most beautiful light show in the universe. Seeing the Northern Lights, or as some call it, the Aurora Borealis, blazing in green and purple is a life-changing experience.

Winter & Polar Night

As the sun rests below the horizon, the mountain is enveloped in a mysterious, blue- and pink-split twilight. It is a time of lighted candles, silence and an almost unreal stillness where the snow sparkles under the stars.

Spring winter - the fifth season

The time that we mountain dwellers love the most. The days are long, the sun is warm on your face and you can enjoy skiing in your shirt sleeves in the morning and a coffee in a snow sofa in the afternoon.

Travel to Björkliden & Riksgränsen

By train

Get on the train in the evening in Stockholm or Gothenburg and wake up in a fantastic mountain environment the next day. You will arrive in Riksgränsen at lunchtime. SJ operates the route and the journey between Stockholm and Riksgränsen takes around 18 hours. You can also take the Arctic Train from Narvik, Norway's northernmost train route, through breathtaking Arctic landscapes with panoramic views of mountains and fjords. The train station in Riksgränsen is located right in the heart of the village, only about 150 meters from the Meteorologist.

Via car

Take the E4 north, turn left in Töre and then continue on the E10 towards Kiruna and Narvik. You will find us just before the Norwegian border.

By air

There are daily flights from Stockholm and Copenhagen to Kiruna Airport, followed by a 90-minute transfer. Alternatively, you can fly to Evenes Airport and drive for 75 minutes. Arriving at Riksgränsen via the E10 is equally beautiful from both directions.
