An evening of nature's beauty - maybe a moonlight sky with the aurora's green flames licking the sky. 

Seeing the Northern Lights may require a little patience and how can you best resolve the situation? 

We take you on an exciting snowmobile ride a bit up on the bare mountain where the conditions for a spectacle of the polar night's phenomenon occur best.

We start our tours as usual with a safety and driving instructions before we head out into the cold dark night, the light of the snowmobile lights illuminates the trail as we drive.

Where the guide considers it a suitable place to stay protected from the weather and wind, we park the snowmobiles. 

When we put out, we concentrate and concentrate on what nature has to offer us. A pleasant fire can gild our moment while we have a snack and a hot drink.

When we return from the tour, the night is young, and it is perfect for you to continue searching for the aurora on you own. 

The guide will give you good tips where you can reach good aurora viewing spots by foot from your accommodation.

Meet at: Pick-up location appointed time. 

Included: Pick-up service from Abisko/Björkliden, please be ready for pick up at your pick-up location at time. Note that the pick-up can take up to 30 min.

Guide, snowmobile, winter overall, shoes, gloves and helmet, warm beverage and snacks.

Duration: 2,5 hours (incl. 30 min pick-up time)

Lenght: 14-20 km 

Age: Minimum 8 years (child may sit in a sled behind the guide)

Other requirements:*In order to drive our snowmobiles a regular driver's license from your home country is required! Valid drivers license are: snowmobile, car, mc, moped or tractor. If you do not have a license you are welcome to join this tour as a passenger.

Good to know

Each activity has a level of difficulty described below. We always adapt the pace to the group to ensure everyone has a great experience.

Relaxing: this is not exhausting at all, on the contrary!

Slow pace: Can be compared to a light walk. As a participant, you can often adapt the effort to your own level.

Moderate: This level of exertion requires a little more from you as a participant. At this level, it is more often a matter of endurance rather than great physical effort, but we recommend a normal level of fitness.

Demanding: This level often requires both willpower and higher physical fitness. We recommend that you talk to our knowledgeable staff in the sports shop if you are unsure.

Quite a challenge: This level requires a lot from you as a participant. You should be both strong and confident behind the brow bone - at this level we will always ensure your suitability before completing the activity.

Depending on the activity, breaks may or may not be included, but we can always make sure to take a break if you need to.

Once booked, the activity will be entered into our system and you will receive a confirmation of your booking. The booking confirmation will give you more information.

On our guided activities we have no specific cancellation protection, but all activities that are canceled 29 days from the date of the activity's implementation give a full refund, up to 24h before implementation, 10% refund is given. Within 24h or in case of no-show, no refund will be given unless otherwise stated as payment is binding for example for specific courses.
