BAMM 30 - Your way into mountain adventure

For those who want to test their limits for the first time - with lighter packing and focus on the experience.

Some mountain experience, simple navigation in untracked terrain, along or adjacent to trails or handrails in nature and usually with the capture of terrain objects during the controls.

Although this is the ”short distance”, you should be prepared for many altitude meters and a physical challenge. Often it means about 20-25km/day running and about 1500 altitude meters. If you can manage to hike about 15 - 25 kilometers per day for 10 hours, this is the class for you.

BAMM 30 is a good class for those who want to try this type of competition for the first time. We transport tents and sleeping bags to the common night camp for the participants in BAMM 30, food and provisions you bring yourself as a participant.

BAMM 50 - A test for the experienced challenger

For those with good fitness and mountain experience who want to carry your own freedom and master the terrain.

Good mountain/nature experience. Places higher demands on your orienteering skills, mostly without a trail with ”large objects” (mountain peaks, lakes) as handrails.

This is the class for those who have good fitness and want a tough challenge. Participants carry all their equipment themselves and are in this class often out along the track 4-7 hours / day and often run 30-35km / day and about 2000 altitude meters. See previous maps and altimeters if you want to prepare a little extra.

BAMM 70 - The ultimate Arctic challenge

For the experienced runner who demands maximum physical and mental challenge in untracked wilderness.

BAMM 70 places great demands on fitness, mountain experience and orienteering skills. We recommend that you have completed BAMM 50 or competed in other similar competitions before taking on BAMM 70. This is the class for those who want a very tough challenge.

Participants carry all their own equipment and in this class are often out along the track for 7 -10 hours/day with up to 3000 meters of altitude in one day.

Exercise class - For those who want to complete the experience but are no longer allowed to compete further

Day 2 also includes exercise classes. Exercise classes are there to make it possible for as many people as possible to participate on day 2 even if the team for some reason does not complete day 1. The choice of distance is made in consultation with the race director, but you can choose between the distances 30 km or 50 km.
