About the competition

Choose between the 30K, 50K, and 70K classes, with orienteering over two days with an overnight stay in the mountains. Participants competing in the 50K and 70K classes carry all the equipment they need to endure two tough days and one night in the mountains. The exception is BAMM 30, where the organizer transports tents and sleeping bags to the overnight camp. Therefore, participants in BAMM 30 have a somewhat lighter backpack to run with.

On Friday morning before the start, teams receive maps and courses (30K, 50K, and 70K) and can begin planning their routes. After that, there is a mass start for everyone. After reaching the checkpoints, teams arrive at the overnight camp, where everyone spends the night in a large tent camp.

On Day 2, the start is a chasing start for the best teams, with the leading teams starting first, followed by subsequent teams according to the results from Day 1. Teams more than an hour behind start together before the chasing start. The finish line is in Riksgränsen, where showers, saunas, and mingling await. In the evening, there will be an award ceremony and dinner.

RACE MEETING BAMM

Due to the large number of participants in the competition, we will not hold a physical race meeting, but we will instead provide it in a digital format. This is to ensure that everyone hears and receives the same information. If you have questions after watching the meeting, you can meet the race management in the Blue Room at 8:00 PM on Thursday.

In the link you will find last year’s race meeting (2023). We will update with this year’s race meeting (2024) closer to the race date.
