Restaurant Lapporten

Facing the fabulous, emblematic views of the Lapporten, or “Doorway to Lapland” valley on a scale of 1:1 is a sight to behold. Combine that with an à la carte menu where local produce encounters international cuisines, and the result is a real pièce de résistance of Scandinavian alpine dining.

LUNCH & DINNER

During the summer and winter season, Restaurang Lapporten offers an daymeny for lunch and à la carte menu for dinner. For one who’s about to head out on a hike or ski tour, we can arrange lunch packages. All choices on our menu come with a varied assortment of drinks.

The menu is composed to maximize visual and flavorful experiences, where each dish both looks and tastes like a small painting. Each dish incorporates at least one element from Norrland (Northern Sweden). This element either adds a twist to a “regular” flavor, such as a pickled onion becoming a spruce-pickled onion, or combines a local ingredient with flavors from other continents. Each dish is structured so that you can experience all the flavors in a single bite. “It’s in the combinations of flavors that something happens, that’s when it pops,” says the head chef.
