But the evenings offer more for those staying overnight. You will be treated to a well-prepared two-course dinner connected to local and wild ingredients—just like the place we are in. A cozy break from everyday life, where every bite tells a story.
Refreshments in Tranquility
For those who wish to enjoy refreshments, the bar is simple but well-stocked. Cold and hot, fortifying drinks are served here. Choose a warming beverage to sip in the cozy common room, or a beer to toast a successful day in the mountains.
A Night at the mountain
Step into history. Our rooms are simple, rustic, and filled with the unique scent of old wood and mountain adventure. There are no unnecessary distractions here—just a beautiful atmosphere and classic beds that promise deep, restorative sleep.
Your overnight stay includes a two-course dinner accompanied by anecdotes and stories through the ages shared by the staff. In the morning, a generous mountain breakfast is served so you can recharge before the day ahead.
Note! Bed linen is not included in the accommodation due to limited laundry facilities. We recommend that you bring your own bed linen or pre-book it before your stay online or on site in Björkliden, before making your way to the mountain station.

Three Top Route
We believe that the best way to experience the Arctic region is to do it properly. Traveling between our three destinations offers both reverence and a sense of fulfillment. The distance between Björkliden, Låktatjåkko Mountain Station, and Riksgränsen is approximately 25-29 km depending on decided route.
Over three days and three nights, you can experience all three destinations if you have the desire. Below, we have described one of our favorite tours you can do in the area, commonly called “The Three Top Route.”
First night in Björkliden.
Feel like a true pioneer and take the Three Top Route. Start with a soft beginning and comfortable overnight stay in Björkliden. Here you can recharge and rent touring skis or off-piste skis at the sports shop.
Make your way to Låktatjåkko Mountain Station.
The next day, make your way up to the magical silence of Låktatjåkko Mountain Station to experience an evening of history, freedom, and tranquility. You can either climb up on touring skis or take your skis with you on the Snowcat. Perhaps you will see the Northern Lights dancing across the sky if the night is clear?
The run down to Riksgränsen
The following day, the spectacular ski-run awaits, taking you down the famous terrain toward Riksgränsen, where you can return the skis you rented in Björkliden. A final night in civilization at this legendary location is the perfect ending to your trip.

Our comfortable Snowcat is an easy and convenient way to reach the cabin. Lean back, enjoy the magnificent view, and feel the wingbeats of history—this is the method of transport that gives you comfortable freedom.
The Snowcat departs from Björkliden at 10:00 AM.
The return journey from Låktatjåkko to Björkliden departs at 12:30 PM.
