The Height of a Culinary Experience
Sweden’s highest-situated restaurant and bar is 9 kilometers from Björkliden. Nestled between two mountain peaks in roadless land, 1,228 meters above sea level, you will find a restaurant you never thought existed.
If you arrive during lunchtime, we suggest you try the legendary “Låkta waffle.” The bar also offers a well-stocked selection of beverages.
For a truly elevated experience, we recommend staying overnight at the mountain station. This includes our two-course dinner, prepared with the day’s ingredients and flavored with local produce from Sápmi. The following morning, you can enjoy our breakfast buffet in the restaurant or outdoors in the sunshine.
NOTE! Please be aware that the facility is cash-free. Mobile coverage and network service are limited in the mountains, and this is also true at Låktatjåkko Mountain Station. We therefore recommend that you bring your bank card for payment, as Swish or Internet payment (mobile payment) does not function optimally up here. Thank you for your understanding.
