Join us for a unique experience and visit an open-air museum in Kiruna, run by the Sami, the indigenous people of Lapland. Here, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of their life and traditions.

    Included: Round-trip transport from your hotel in Abisko/Björkliden to Jukkasjärvi outside Kiruna, where Nutti Sámi Siida is located. Entrance ticket to Nutti Sami Siida outdoor museum, Café Sápmi & Handicraft shop.

    Important Information: Lunch is not included but can be purchased at Café Sápmi for an additional cost.It is important that you wear warm clothes, a hat, gloves, and warm insulated winter boots.

Visit the Sami & Reindeer in Jukkasjärvi

Follow along on a unique full-day trip to a Sami open-air museum in Jukkasjärvi, just outside of Kiruna. Here, you’ll get a personal insight into the culture and lifestyle of Sweden’s indigenous people. The tour gives you the opportunity to learn about Sami history, traditional building methods, and how the Sami live in harmony with nature. A highlight is getting to meet and feed reindeer for the perfect photograph.

After all the impressions, you can visit Café Sápmi, which is run by the local Sami community and is located inside a cozy wooden tipi. Here you can buy hot drinks, sandwiches, and classic Swedish fika.

This approximately 7-hour long tour includes round-trip transport from your hotel in Abisko or Björkliden, as well as an entrance ticket to the open-air museum. Lunch is not included but can be purchased on-site. Pickup times are 09:00 in Björkliden and 09:15 in Abisko, with an estimated return to the hotels around 16:00. Remember to dress warmly with a hat, gloves, and winter boots.
