GENERAL
Each participant is responsible for knowing and following the rules given by the organizers of BAMM.
Participating in BAMM is at your own risk.
Payment is final. By showing a medical certificate a reimbursement of 75% when cancelling an entry is possible until June 1st. After June 1st no reimbursement is offered. We recommend using insurance, for example “Startklar” or “Startklar Plus”.
When registering for the race you will get a user account making it possible to change class and name of participants up until a week before start. After this the changing of name and class is only possible in the race secretariat up until the day before start.
If you for some reason is not able to participate it is up to you to sell your spot by using your account. We recommend using the BAMM Facebook page for selling your starting spot.
Minimum age for participating is 18 years for the distances 50 and 70km. For 30km it is allowed to participate when 16 years old (the year turning 16) if you can present a written confirmation from your legal guardian. The total age of the team must be at least 34.
If the race is cancelled only the participation fee will be reimbursed.
The team must consist of two people, male, female or mix. Dogs are not allowed.

WAITING LIST
If the race sells out there is the possibility to register for a waiting list. The organizers will administer the waiting list up until June 30th, 2017. Registering for the waiting list is done by emailing: bamm@laplandresorts.se

EXERCISE CLASS
For day 2 there is the possibility to register for the exercise classes. The exercise classes are available to make it possible for as many as possible to participate on day 2 even if the team is not able to finish day 1.
It is not possible to register for the exercise class in advance.
The exercise class is available for the distances 30, 50 and 70km.
Teams exceeding the cut-off time on day 1 is given the option to start in day 2 but then in a shorter exercise class.
Teams giving up on day 1 has the option to start day 2 in a shorter exercise class.

Teams formed in the night camp has the option to start in an appropriate exercise class on day 2.
Teams competing in the distance 30km has the option to start in exercise class 30 if approved by the race general.
The race general has the right to move a team to the exercise class.

EQUIPMENT
All required equipment must be made available for inspection on request and at the finish line.

All required equipment must be brought along the whole course/race.

For participants in the 30km classes the race organization will transport the team’s tent and two sleeping bags. The tent and sleeping bags must fit in a 60 liter plastic bag. The plastic bag is supplied by the race organization. No other equipment is allowed in the plastic bag.

REQUIRED PERSONAL EQUIPMENT
* Map and plastic map pocket (supplied by race organizers).
* 2 race bibs, supplied by organizers (the bib should be worn visible and the ads may not be folded away). The exception for visible bib is when reinforcing clothes are worn when the bib can be worn under a shell pant.
* SportIdent stick (can be rented from race organizers when registering, if you are using you own SI-stick the SI-stick control number must be entered when registering).
* Bracelet for attaching the SI-stick (supplied by organizers).
* Compass, must be a genuine compass, a compass in a watch is not approved.
* Water bottle with a volume of at least 0,7 liter or several bottles with a combined volume of 0,7 liter.
* Sleeping mat. At least 5mm thick covering your whole back from crotch to neck. Sleeping mats made of balloons or air mattresses made to be used as bathing toys are not allowed. Air mattresses made to function as a sleeping mat are allowed.
* Sleeping bag (transported to the night camp by organizers for participants in the 30km classes).
* Hat (beanie) or “Buff”.
* Mittens/gloves.
* Reinforcement shirt in a size suitable for your body. For example, down, fleece or wool. Vests or underwear is not allowed.
* Underwear pants (long) for a dry change of clothes.
* Wind and waterproof pants, taped seams.
* Wind and waterproof jacket with hood, taped seams. A rain cape is not allowed as replacement.
* Whistle.
* Emergency rations, for example an energy bar or equivalent (at least 50 gram), must be available for inspection at the finish line.
* Waterproof marker (to use for marking possible changes in the course).

Please be aware the race takes place in mountain terrain and that the weather can shift quickly. Don’t cut equipment and food short. Use common sense!

REQUIRED PERSONAL EQUIPMENT
* Kitchen and fuel (enough fuel to be able to bring 1 liter och cold water to a boil at the finish line, using the kitchen brought along for the race).

* First aid kit containing: elastic bandage (at least 2 meter x 8 centimeter unstretched, self-adhesive is recommended), sterile compressor with pressure compressor (in other words, first aid).
* Tent (must fit 2 people and packs, endure rain and be equipped with floor, roof and walls. Just a mosquito net replacing any part is not allowed). The tent is transported to the night camp by organizers for participants in the 30km classes.
* Mobile phone (with the phone number to the race general of BAMM preprogrammed, the phone number will be available in the race memo).

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT
* Barometric altimeter.
* Head torch (if you are unsure of reaching the night camp before it starts to darken around 22:00).

GPS
GPS built in to phones or watches does not have to be sealed in the backpack. Watches containing a GPS may ONLY be used as an altimeter. Any function for measuring distance must be deactivated/hidden. Phones may only be used as a camera if it’s not an emergency and then as an emergency phone. Every other use will count as cheating and will lead to disqualification. Other GPS devices with a main function being GPS navigation and has a display must be sealed in and envelope in your backpack. Envelope for sealing your GPS is made available in the secretariat and in the night camp.

COURSE/CHECKPOINTS/PUNCHING/TIMING
Checkpoints must be punched/passed in the correct order.

Both team members must punch each checkpoint (the organizers will verify that the time between the team members punches is not too long, maximum 15 second in-between punches is allowed).

The participants are responsible for bringing/using the correct SI-stick after being handed it from race organizers at registration.

The SI-stick shall be worn around the wrist, mounted before start and is not to be removed before finishing the race.

The end result is based on the total time and possible added time.

Possible added time is added to the end result.

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES
The team may not receive support from outsiders if it’s not an emergency situation. An outsider is defined as being anyone not member of your team.

The team is obliged to stay together for the entire race.

The team is obliged to comply to the rules/instructions given by race organizers and functionaries.

If the team cancels/abandons the race, this must be reported to the closest staff member. It is not allowed for a team member to continue on his/her own. It is allowed to form new teams in the night camp (at that point it is only possible to continue in an exercise class).

In case of an accident the team member shall perform first aid and call for help.
The team is responsible to aid any other team in need of help in case of accident or other danger.
The team may not leave the night camp between passing the finish line on day 1 and the start on day 2.
The team must place a bib visible outside the tent in the night camp.
Littering is absolutely forbidden. What the team brings out in the mountains must be brought back, for example, plastic bags, gas canisters, used clothing etc.

DISQUALIFICATION, ADDED TIME, REIMBURSEMENT
The team might be disqualified during the race. If the team is disqualified no reimbursement of the participation fee is given.

A team might be disqualified if:
* The team misses a checkpoint or punches the checkpoints in the wrong order.
* The team doesn’t follow the directives given by staff members.
* The team doesn’t stay together.
* The team doesn’t follow the rules given before and during the race.
* The team uses the phone to contact anyone else than the race organizers during the day 1 or day 2. Exceptions can be made if a call is preapproved during registration.
* Anything not predicted by the race organizers but deemed so serious that it should lead to disqualification.

A team gets added time if anything from the required equipment is missing or doesn’t fulfill the requirements. The added time is 30min per missing personal equipment.

The added time is 60min per missing team equipment

Lost SI-stick leads to disqualification and will be charged a fee of 350 SEK.

Teams with a longer period than 15 sec between punches at a checkpoint will receive 1 min of added time per exceeding second.

OBJECTIONS
Must be handed in writing to the race organization a maximum of 30 min after finishing the race and against an administrative fee of 100 SEK.

RACE ORGANIZERS RIGHTS

The race organizers/race general has the right to:
* Decide which teams may participate.
* Disqualify a team.
* Change the course.
* Cancel or postpone the race because of weather conditions in which case a reimbursement will not be given doesn’t fulfill the requirements. The added time is 30min per missing personal equipment.

The added time is 60min per missing team equipment (exception marker that adds 30min).
Lost SI-stick leads to disqualification and will be charged a fee of 350 SEK.
Teams with a longer period than 15 sec between punches at a checkpoint will receive 1 min of added time per exceeding second.

OBJECTIONS
Must be handed in writing to the race organization a maximum of 30 min after finishing the race and against an administrative fee of 100 SEK.

RACE ORGANIZERS RIGHTS

The race organizers/race general has the right to:
* Decide which teams may participate.
* Disqualify a team.
* Change the course.
* Cancel or postpone the race because of weather conditions in which case a reimbursement will not be given.
* Handle objections and, after hearing all parts, make a unanimous decision.
* Take a team off the course even before the cut-off time has been reached.
* Cancel the race if not enough teams are signed up.
* Merge classes if too few teams are signed up.
* Add additional teams even though the last sign up date has passed as well as circumvent the waiting list.
